library for certain computations concerned with tropical geometry.

Lars Allermann has prepared a software tool TropicalSurfaces that allows to draw
tropical surfaces in 3-space. You can download his programme (precompiled as well
as the source code for Windows as well as for Linux) from this web page:

tropicalinsect
is an interface that
connects gfan and polymake to (compute and) visualise the intersection
of tropical surfaces. The programme was written by Nina Bindel and
Henning Kopp as a practical course in their bachelor studies.
In order to use tropicalinsect, you just have to download and unpack the archive
tropicalinsect.tgz.
This will create a directory containg among others the file
manual-tropicalinsect.pdf
with instructions on how to use of the programme. You should note that
the programme will not work unless you have gfan and polymake (version
2.9.10 or later) installed on your computer.
