Montag, 25.02.2019: Analysis of quantum interaction models
Prof. Masato Wakayama (Kyushu University)
In recent years, the theoretical/experimental investigation in quantum optics have been very active, especially, the quantum Rabi model (QRM) and related quantum interaction models. One of the strong reasons is the requirement from the quantum information technology, especially, from the expectation to realize quantum computers. New experimental results on the interaction between the superconducting artificial atoms and electromagnetic field which can realize the (so-called) deep-strong coupling state indeed agree with theoretical predictions based on the QRM concerning the generation an entanglement state. In this talk I will present the detailed picture of the spectrum of the (including asymmetric) quantum Rabi models and discuss relevant mathematical topics through noncommutative harmonic oscillators (NCHO) which can be regarded as their covering model.
There will be a Pre-Colloquium at 16:00 under the title: Analysis of the quantum harmonic oscillator – oscillator representation of sl(2), heat kernel, Riemann zeta function, Apery numbers
