In a previous talk we presented the classification of terminal Fano threefolds with an effective 2-torus action and Picard number one. Now we treat the larger family of terminal Fano threefolds that do not admit any birational divisorial contraction.

The lecture describes joint work with P. Daskalopoulos on complete non-compact hypersurfaces moving in normal direction with speed equal to the inverse of their mean curvature. We prove a priori estimates that lead to longtime existence and convergence results for the flow.
