Optimal Geometry via Parabolic equations
Andoni Royo-abrego
Most important equations in physical and social sciences arise as an optimization problem of some kind, where critical points of a given functional correspond to configurations of special interest. In our case, we will be looking at optimal geometric structures on a manifold, which appear in diverse areas of physics, such as particle physics or general relativity. Geometric flows will play the main role as tools to prove existence of such desired structures.
