Particle creation at spacetime singularities

Hamiltonians (obtained by means of quantization/other heuristics) involving particle creation or annihilation in quantum field theory(qfts) are often ultraviolet divergent. Teufel and Tumulka (2015) introduced a new way of obtaining well defined and ultraviolet finite Hamiltonians using what is called an Interior Boundary Conditions (IBCs). The IBC relates the value of the wavefunction at the boundary to that of the value at an interior point of the configuration space. This method has been applied to obtain the Hamiltonian for some non-relativistic qfts as well as for the case of Dirac Hamiltonian in Minkowski spacetime. In my thesis project, I extend this method to obtain Dirac Hamiltonians involving particle creation in Reissner Nordstrom spacetimes. In the colloquium, I will give an introduction to these topics and talk about what I precisely did for my Thesis.
