The ADM-mass and a Green's function proof of the positive mass theorem
Christina Karapiperi
Mass is a very weird notion in general relativity, as one cannot define any kind of gravitational density. In this talk we will discuss the notion of the ADM- mass and the positive mass theorem, while a proof of it given by Agostiniani, Mazzieri and Oronzio will be sketched. The proof’s main characteristic is the use of a monotonicity formula holding along the level sets of the Green’s function.
