MonoidPackage - a package for monoids and base point free problems of MDS
(for Maple)
Current version: March 2017
Description
MonoidPackage is a Maple Package, distributed under the
GNU General Public License.
It contains functions on embedded monoids, that means
finitely generated submonoids of finitely generated abelian groups.
Furthermore, it provides algorithms concerning
base point free questions of Mori dream spaces.
MonoidPackage offers among others the following functions:
-
For embedded monoids:
- computing generators for intersections of embedded monoids,
- testing membership in a monoid,
- testing membership in the conductor ideal of a monoid,
- computing elements of the conductor ideal.
-
For base point free problems of Mori dream spaces:
- computing generators for the monoid of base point free Cartier divisor classes,
- testing if a given Weil divisor class is base point free,
- testing if Fujita's base point free conjecture holds for a given
Mori dream space, provided we know its canonical class.
Software Requirements
The MonoidPackage requires Maple and the Maple packages
convex
by
Matthias Franz
and
MDSpackage
by
Simon Keicher.
Installation
Download the file
MonoidPackage.mla
and put it into a directory where Maple can find it.
In a new Maple-session enter "with(MonoidPackage);"
after loading convex
and MDSpackage.
